Cast Member Perks and Discounts

As a Disney cast member you get many discounts in park and out of park. Also , you get to do lots of activities as well just for working at Disney.

MERCHANDISE: Disney College Program participants get 20% off in store for all merchandise.

RESORTS: Cast members may book rooms at a discount of up to 40% at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. If the cast member stays in the room with the guest, the discount could be up to 50%.

THEME PARK ADMISSION TICKETS: Every cast member gets a Member ID which entitles them to get into every park for free, anytime they want. Cast members also get a Main Entrance Pass which entitles up to 3 guests into a theme park. Additional tickets are also available at a discounted rate to cast member.

Registering for Classes, and Going Away List.

Today I enrolled for an online Business course while I'm down in Florida, and I will also be enrolling in a Marketing course, online as well. I'm not too sure if I'm gonna be able to handle 2 classes as well as working full time... we shall see. In other news, I started a list of things that I need to bring to Disney. I know that I'm not going to Florida till late August but if I forget anything here, I will have to buy it while I'm there and that is just annoying. This list includes: alarm clock, sunglasses, SUN TAN LOTION, deodorant, bathing suit, but most importantly MY XBOX!

The "MUSTACHE Rule"

The Disney look is very important when you want to work for Disney (It's not a coincidence that everyone working there is so neat and tidy.) Well I was looking through the guidelines and thought this was a pretty funny drawing of what is acceptable as a MUSTACHE^ ..... On the bottom left you can see the "Pedro Stache" and on the bottom right you can see the "Solid Snake Stache". All mustaches must be groomed, and not hanging over the top lip. I will be rocking the "Baby's Bottom Stache" (a.k.a. shaved) when I get to Disney.

Psyching myself up!

Hey y'all, so all I did today was watch you tube videos about the Disney college program. I know what to expect when I arrive, i know what the apartment complexes look like and I know that I'm gonna have a Freaking awesome time. To all my friends- ill miss you, but I have all summer to see you guys. Oh also, there is a game online that only college program students can access called Mission Time Keeper but for some reason my password wont work for it. I'm so mad, it looks so fun and its in 3-D (i got the glasses and everything). Oh well... -DCP 2010

Finally, (3 weks later) I got my Job Offer!

Well its almost 3 weeks after i had my phone interview for the Disney College Program for Fall 2010, and i finally got my Job offer. Its to be a merchandise cast member, and it makes sense because all my previous jobs were in merchandise services. I finished the application process and chose my program dates-> 08/23/2010 - 01/05/2011. Well, 1st blog post= probably boring but hey... gatta start somewhere right?
